Overview and attractions of Serifos

The Greek island of Serifos, located in the Aegean Sea, is another island that is part of the Cycladic archipelago. According to legend, it is the birthplace of Perseus. In terms of the tourism sector, the island is considered young and has no developed tourist infrastructure. However, because the island is virtually unadvertised as a resort destination, holidays on Serifos are quiet. And some beaches of the island are still in pristine condition.

The island is covered with bizarre undulating mountains that are interrupted by picturesque valleys. On the shore, the mountains turn into a rocky chain that adorns the wind-sheltered bays. Among the rocks, which have intricate outlines resembling human figures, the myths of the Greek heroes who once inhabited the archipelago come alive.
