Rules

Yacht Skipper Services

The skipper manages the yacht during the charter. The skipper must inform the crew about the rules of behavior and safety on the yacht. The crew must observe the rules of good manners (behavior) and safety on the yacht. Always follow the skipper's instructions. The crew is obliged to assist the skipper in all cases necessary for the safety of the crew and the yacht, as well as when mooring in the port or marina. The safety of the boat and the equipment of the ship is the responsibility of the crew and the main client. The skipper is not responsible for the deposit to the charter company or insurance company and cannot be held consolidated responsibility for the write-off of the deposit if it is the crew's fault or due to unforeseen circumstances. The skipper may recommend to the crew the route, anchorages, sailing area, sailing time, choice of distance, etc., based on his experience, knowledge of the region and weather conditions, and other understanding of specific features of the region. The crew has the right to choose their sailing program's route and distance and discuss this plan with the captain. The skipper has the right to change the route and distance based on his experience, namely, weather conditions or when the crew's competence is not appropriate for the sailing program and may endanger the crew's health or damage to the boat. If there is no Co-Skipper on the boat, the skipper's duties are limited to driving the boat for up to 8 hours and a distance of no more than 40 n.m. per day (24 hours); the skipper's duties are limited to sailing at night. Also, the boat may not be anchored for more than two consecutive days or more than three days during the charter period of 7 days. If the boat is anchored at the crew's request, the crew must also keep a night watch for safety reasons. The crew may only leave the boat alone if the skipper is on the ship for any reason. *** We recommend that you always follow the recommendations of the skipper and the charter company to protect your health and your deposit.

Check-in and Check-out

Check-in policy.   Check-in usually starts on Saturday after 17.00. This is the official time specified in the charter contract. Check-in usually lasts 1-2 hours. An additional option is Early Check-in, which can be ordered in advance. This is agreed in advance with the charter company. The charter company has the right to refuse this option for various reasons. Usually, the early check-in starts around 13.00 and can last until the client has accepted the boat and signed all the necessary documents. Early Check-in is charged extra and costs 150 euros.     Check-out policy.   Check-out always starts on Saturday at 9.00 am. Before the start of Check-out, the crew and Skipper must leave the boat and take all their belongings. Before Check-out, the crew must refuel the boat themselves. If any damage or loss of equipment is found on the boat during Check-out, the Client or Skipper will be required to sign a Check Sheet stating the damage and be reimbursed for the loss. The Client or Skipper is not allowed to leave the marina before Check-out. The Captain or Skipper may leave the boat only when the Check-out has been completed, and the Check Sheet has been signed.   Crew and Skipper must always follow the rules of Check-in and Check-out. Always ensure that your plane tickets or departure from the marina are separate from the Check-out time as the managers' working hours on Saturday start at 9.00 am. The charter company will not be able to start Check-in and Check-out at a time other than 9:00 am.  *** Important ! Based on the labor law of the Hellenic Republic (Republic of Greece), managers may not be at their workplace during the hours of darkness or outside of working hours. Therefore, the company is obliged to issue an additional authorization to work outside the working day or extra hours, as well as to pay the manager's salary and pay taxes and insurance for the extra hours worked.  Based on this, the company will charge an additional fee of 150 Euros for Check Out (which takes place outside the set hours).  Please be careful when buying airline tickets to follow the charter company's rules.
